Fill in the blanks to make a story even better...

At the end of this semester, we have to submit 6000 words and I have chosen to keep writing the story I started during the first semester. To sum up, in a few words, we had met two characters, Katie and John. Two people with completely opposed lives. But two people who both received the same book at JFK airport. A mysterious book which was given by a strange woman who had accosted them while they were waiting for their respective flights. John was going to Paris for a business meeting and Katie was going to Los Angeles to meet a movie producer interested in a story she had published on Wattpad...

However, I realised one day, while I was rereading this story, that two important chapters were missing… So, I think I’m going to add those two chapters when I carry on with this story for my creative dissertation project. Those two chapters will come between the very first chapter, entitled “A day that will change everything”, and the fourth chapter, entitled “A whole new adventure begins”, the one which actually launches the whole adventure...

So, even if I could not include those two chapters in the 6,000 words, I really wanted to precise this choice in my diary. Those two chapters will thus appear in the final version of this novel's project.

Here’s my project about those new chapters:

A second chapter, entitled “Every second matter…”, will be focused only on the character of John. We knew at the end of the first chapter that he was going to Paris. So, this chapter will tell us more about his meeting in Paris. This will be the occasion to learn more about himself and his life… And this chapter will also be a way for us, as readers, to learn about his father’s illness and about the way it affects John. If I choose to entitle this chapter like that it’s because I really want to talk about what’s really important in life… Family is one of the most important things and sometimes we’re not necessarily aware of it.

A third chapter, entitled “A chance to seize”, will be focused, this time, on the character of Katie. We’re going to follow her during her trip to Los Angeles where she’s going to meet a movie producer interested in one of her stories. This chapter will also be the occasion for her to meet John for the first time. Indeed, as soon as he learns that his father is in the hospital, John rushes back to Los Angeles to be with him. This will also be the occasion for him to meet Katie for the first time when they both take the same elevator.
