That was during Christmas’s holiday when I have received the feedback on my novel’s first chapters I have submitted that I realised I wanted to keep writing this story. The reason I wanted to do so, rather than start writing a short story, is because I truly think I can use all the feedbacks I got to improve my writing skills and see my progression throughout the year. When I think about it, this is the reason I’ve chosen to come here, in Coventry, in the first place. I wanted to study writing, to have the opportunity of meeting people who could help me improve this passion I feel inside forever.
Since I’m 6 years old, I imagine stories and today I can’t see my life without writing. I wish I could find a way to live along with this passion.
Writing is my way of expression.
When I write, I feel confident, as anything was possible. But, today, I’m aware that I must learn how to write. I need to find people, like teachers, who can be able to give me real feedback, advice that will allow me to keep improving both my writing skills and style.
Indeed, when I compare with France, the country from which I come from, I realise how this Master is an opportunity for me. Learning writing is impossible to find in French Universities. The only way we can learn how to improve our writing skills is by finding private lessons. Sometimes, you will find the opportunity of going on a trip as the writer’s retreat we made when we went to the Lake District. That’s why being here, in the UK, is such a great opportunity for me as a writer.
